Rai Bahadur is a very rich man. Neeta, his daughter, elopes with a taxi driver who later is revealed that wanted her only for her money. Desperate, Neeta commits suicide, abandoning her little daughter to Rai Bahadur's arms to raise her. When young Pinky grows up and also falls in love with the taxi driver Govinda, Rai Bahadur, afraid that the same misfortune will now plight his grandaughter, tries to seperate them.
