Ichiro Haruno is a young apprentice of the Onryukai Tatsumi Kogyo, a company that has a reputation for its natural talent and spirit. However, even after one year, he is still too good a person to be able to do even a single “Kiritori”. He is told, “If you can't do this much Kiritori, get out of the business! His older brother Kawada, young boss Furuya, and other members of Tatsumi Kogyo order Ichiro to make a man of himself by giving him 10 million yen for “kiritori”.
