13-year-old Ranu is the eldest child in an impoverished Brahmin family. She dotes on Kamal, a lively and endearing goat. When Ranu gets engaged to Gopal, the family considers making a little money by selling Kamal. However, the smart goat outwits his master’s every move to sell him.
