They all live in the same house. Our hero, his father-in-law, wife, children, and father-in-law's niece, Blue Stocking. The hero is punished for falling out of love with his wife. The girl announces that she is pregnant with the Hero's son. The father-in-law is going to sell the house. An actress from a traveling theater, who unceremoniously appeared in the house, is the Hero's mother, who abandoned him in early childhood.
